Clarkson, Roger H. Miller, and Frank B. Cross. This edition includes several important refinements and updates that are pertinent to the current legal environment. This re-organization of ideas makes the chapter easier to read, as a student can follow the steps as the offer is formed into a contract with acceptance. The chapter previously laid the groundwork of mutual assent, but then jumped straight into terms of the contract without connecting the concepts. The chapter now weaves the legal concepts of offer and acceptance throughout the chapter, rather than relegating them to set sections in the chapter.

The best advice I can offer is to work with the text. Use it as a companion to whatever other materials you are studying. Don’t look at it as a text to read from cover to cover. Read only the sections that you find unclear, unclear, difficult, or not mentioned, and then study those sections.
I also recommend taking advantage of the other study aids that accompany this text. The Study Guide, now in a second edition and edited by Andrew B. Whitford of Baylor University, includes many multiple choice questions and practice problems. Be sure to check those out as you go through your unit. If you want to have a group review session to learn the material better, consider doing so with the Study Guide, or perhaps with a copy of the CD. The CD is excellent. You can create no more than five Study Packs (those are the ones you can tap into multiple times during a one session) on a single CD.
